This team slept in the center of the perimeter. I stuck close to Murphy
and Hitler as much I could. Carrying the radio, meant that I was always
with a squad leader, platoon leader, or the company commander. At this point, I
was the battalion RTO communicating between the company commander (skipper) and
the battalion commander (colonel) who was located back at the firebase or in the
